'Impossible to backup ... files',
how do I know which files are not backed up?
It is possible to see which files have not been backed up, by tracking the CrashPlan PRO logs.
The CrashPlan PRO logs in the different operating systems can be found in this location:
Windows Vista, 7, 8, Server 2008 & Server 2012 |

Search the log file named backup_files_0.log for the text:
Impossible to back up
The result will look something like this:

Rules directly below indicate the non-backed up files:

Until another message "Starting backup to..." appears, for example:

Usually, the reason is that the files are open.
With 32-bit and 64-bit Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, Server 2003, 2008 and Windows Small Business Server 2003 you can enable the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). For Windows 2000 VSS is unfortunately no option and you need to adapt other available methods to backup these resources.
